When Military Pilots Were Heroes
How many military bases would you suppose we have in foreigh countries? And don’t count Iraq, Afghanistan or any secret ones. That number would be 761. Many of these bases are located in affluent well off countries who have little need for them. Most of our military might lies in missiles and naval services so we just don’t need all of these bases sitting right in the firing line between two potential rivals. If you brought them home imagine what 761 new military bases across the U.S. would do for the economy. For the most part I think we should bring them home. We don’t need to be the world’s police force any longer and we certainly can’t afford it.
Countries around the world grow strong because they don’t have to provide for their own defence since we are doing it for them. It needs to stop.
